Leesburg Product Liability Attorneys
Holding Negligent & Powerful Corporations Accountable
We live in a society where some companies are more concerned about their bottom line than with the safety of their products. Our history is replete with examples of consumer deaths caused by a company's decision to manufacture a product in a certain way just to save a few dimes per unit. When companies put profits over safety, they need to be held accountable.
Our product liability lawyers in Leesburg can help you if you've been injured by a dangerous consumer product. We represent people throughout Loudoun County and all of Northern Virginia who have been injured by dangerous or defective products. Our law firm is not afraid to bring suit against big companies for their role in these injuries. We hope to provide powerful representation to help our clients and to prevent the serious injuries that result from poorly manufactured products. We also represent family members in wrongful death cases involving consumer or industrial products.
What Is Product Liability?
There are two types of product liability cases:
- Defective products: A product can be defective due to a failure in design or manufacturing. An example of a design defect is a snow blower manufacturer that decides to make wheels out of plastic rather than metal. While the plastic wheels may be cheaper, if they explode when consumers inflate the tires, this is a design defect.
- Dangerous products: When a product is inherently dangerous, consumers have a right to be warned. For example, if a prescription drug may cause death when used in combination with other drugs, consumers need to be adequately warned.
A product liability case can involve any type of product, including children's toys containing lead or choking hazards, defective auto parts such as seat belts or airbags that don't function in a crash, and tools that lack proper warnings or are defective in design.
Internal company memos and other evidence gathered in product liability cases often show a callous disregard for the people whose lives they have devastated. Our goal is to hold the manufacturer accountable for the pain and suffering they have caused.
